Dec 9, 2019: From Marg’s Notes: Today Rod had to turn in our car, so he headed out around 9:00. He also had to buy more internet. Jim went to pick him up at 9:30. We rounded up our stuff and headed off to rent bikes! Got to the Adventure Rentals ~10:15 & headed out ~10:30. Rod got a mountain bike & the rest of us got “comfortable” bikes. We headed East. We were trying to stay on the backroads as much as possible. It was hot, but a lot of fun. When we were almost around the island, we stopped at Black Rock for lunch. We returned our bikes ~2:15, came back & showered & napped…& read. We went to dinner @ LBV Bakery. We had fish & chips & beer! Tried to sit outside & read, but it was windy & skeetery!* I went in & finished my book! Went to sleep ~9:00. It was a warm night. Not as windy.
Skeetery: A technical term used by Marg meaning “a bunch of skeeters.” Where “skeeters” = moskeeters = mosquitos. If you use the term “skeetery” in an MS Word document, then you will likely have to add it to your dictionary.
